Sustainable innovations for Protection and Construction.
SharkDispersions™ can be formulated as a ready to use temporary or peelable coating for stain or impact protection of and on numerous surfaces such as metal, coil coated surfaces, glass, glass-fibers, polyester or other plastics. The temporary coating is removed e.g. when goods are ready for painting or assembly, thus retaining a clean surface.
SharkDispersions™ for peelable coatings are sold under SharkDispersionPC2™, SharkDispersionPI4™, SharkDispersionPI5™ , SharkDispersionPC100W™, SharkCoat TC12-22™ trademarks which can be selected according to the process and applications of our customers need.
Our SharkDispersions™ for construction are sold under SharkBinder1-1™ trademark which can be used or formulated as binder for primers on gypsum board, fabrics plus concrete and masonry interior and exterior.
By using SharkDispersions™ as a coating, the durability and abrasion resistance properties of the finished product are increased. SharkDispersions™ may, for example, be used in packaging materials.

used as a base binder for peelable coatings. Applied by brush, dip, roller, spray, airless spray, spreader, foam or as an aerosolspray or brush.
Is the trade name for Shark Solutions water based ready to use peelable coatings based on 100 % post-consumer recycled Polyvinyl Butyral.
SharkCoat TC™ is available in a thixotropic grade: TC12-22™ (approx. 110 KU). SharkCoat TC12-22™ can be supplied in two opaque colours: White and blue, but it can also be delivered in a colourless (“Natural”) edition, which forms a slightly hazy dry film.
Our peelable coatings formulations are based on our SharkDispersion™. The recommended dry film thickness is varying from 40 to 250 microns.
SharkCoat TC™ forms a film, which is combining toughness, flexibility and elongation with softness, resistance and strength without blocking problems.
SharkCoat TC™ is a ready to use water based temporary coating with excellent sagging resistance. Dilution with water is possible. It can be applied on glass, polyesters, plastics, metals or other surfaces, which need a temporary protective coating – that can be peeled off easily.
SharkCoat TC™ can be applied by brush, dip, roller, spray, airless spray, spreader, foam or as an aerosol. However, be aware that when the wet coating is exposed to air, it begins to dry – meaning skinning can occur. Therefore, when spray applied, keep nozzles moist – and container closed. After application expect about 2 hours for drying (at normal indoor room temperature and humidity).
SharkCoat TC™ may be used for outdoor applications, but it has got limited resistance to weather and wear. The dry coating forms a breathable film, which is somewhat open for water evaporation / permeability.
Applying and peeling off the product does normally not affect the base substrate.
Examples of applications: SharkCoat TC12-22™ is the preferred choice, when a high film thickness is requested.
Spray booth coating – and other applications that require easy and efficient cleaning after use.
Equipment and building parts protection for limited time – e.g. during transport, installation, maintenance.
Chemical masking – protecting drying concrete surfaces for water evaporation during curing.
Glass surfaces for temporary protection. As an example, green-houses could be mentioned.
is the trade name for a special grade of Shark Solutions water based dispersion made of 100 % post-consumer or post-industrial recycled Polyvinyl Butyral.
is used as dust binder on indoor absorbent wearing concrete surfaces – or as primer as pre-treatment before a topcoat seals the surface (e.g. transparent epoxy or polyurethane), in accordance with EN-1504-2: 2005. Moreover, it will reduce consumption of such coats by more than 40%.
Due to the small particle size (~ 0,130 µm), the diluted SharkBinder1-1™ has an excellent penetration into the substrate – tested depth of penetration into concrete ≥ 5 mm.
Water vapour permeability: Class III (Sd>50m)
Certificates and CE marking:
Based on tests at the Danish Technological Institute and at the Belgian University of Ghent SharkBinder1-1™ has obtained certificates for applications on concrete surfaces according to EN 1504-2:2005.
SharkBinder1-1™ has been assigned CE product marking based on examinations performed by the independent conformity assessment body: Belgian Construction Certification Agency (BCCA) with identification number CPR/0749.
